The Haitian American Historical Society agrees to place a brick engraved with the message indicated on the form in Savannah’s Franklin Square where the Chasseurs Volontaires Monument is to be erected. The donated amount indicated above shall be used to pay for the construction costs associated with the Chasseurs Volontaires Monument. The costs include but are not limited to related Federal, State, and/or local government fees, survey costs, construction material costs, project promotional costs, design costs, sculptor costs, etc. The Haitian American Historical Society reserves the right to refuse to any person, group, organization, or institution permission to purchase directly or indirectly a brick or multiple bricks to be placed in Franklin Square for any reason. If funds were collected prior to refusal, the Haitian American Historical Society shall refund the donor 100% of the amount donated in a timely manner. Donor acknowledges the monetary amount stated above is a donation and not a payment for brick purchase. The owner does not acquire ownership of the physical brick being placed. The brick shall be the property of the Haitian American Historical Society. Ownership of the brick may be assigned to a third party affiliate (i.e., governmental entity) based solely on the discretion of the Haitian AmericanHistorical Society.
